Privacy policy
PainTracker duty-bound to protect your integrity. This document describes what information PainTracker collects via its app and how it uses the information collected. This privacy policy applies to the app and PainTracker’s website.
The app is part of a research project conducted by researchers at the Center for Bionics and Pain Research, which includes researchers from Chalmers University of Technology and Gothenburg University. The app has primarily been developed by researchers from the department of Applied IT at University of Gothenburg. The purpose of the project is to develop an app to track chronic pain outside of the clinic. The current project relates only to the development of the app. Future research projects will use the app. Therefore, this privacy policy is only valid for initial development project for the app. All data collected is only used to assess the technical functionality of the app and will be deleted once the project is finished.
Data collection
The term ‘personal data’ refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The apps treats all personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The app collects data collected through questionnaires. All questionnaire answers are collected. The questionnaire answers are linked to your account which is identified using your email address.
The app generates a unique identifier each time the app is installed, that is used to associate the installed app with the data uploaded to our servers.
All data is stored securely on servers within the European Union (EU) and not shared with third parties.
You can request to delete your data from within the app as long as it is installed on your device. You may also request a copy of your data by emailing morten.bak.kristoffersen@gu.se together with the email address used to register.
The lawful basis for processing the data is that of consent.
